Kim Sakkara is a Portland, Oregon-based clothing designer who produced her first collection in 2001. She takes inspiration from her interest in history and counter culture, using unusual fabrics in original combinations. Her work is creative and sexy, a marriage of textural variety and flattering fit. Her lifelong study and love of belly dance propel her belief that dance costuming should make its wearer feel and look fantastic as well as fit comfortably. She seeks to produce high quality, eerily beautiful clothing that will stand the tests of wear and novelty. |
